Bravo, J.K. Bravo.
Well, I finished Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince quite some time ago, but alas! There have been computer issues.
I shall post pictures of the midnight party later.
Some topics/points/statements that I thought I would bring up/state...
- Well, I believe that it is safe for me to say that J.K. Rowling has produced yet another wonderful installment in the Harry Potter series. I really loved how she constructed the whole story, actually. It was much like her previous books, but it had such an eerie twist to it which made it absolutely irrestible to put down. I could not stop reading after the first chapter. (Let alone the first page)
- I started the book thinking that Snape was the H.B.P. However, I was very unsure of myself because all the evidence on mugglenet and various Harry Potter websites pointed elsewhere. I guess that I was right.
- I tried not to think about Dumbledore being the one to perish this time around. I thought that it was going to be one of the Weasleys. I do believe that Snape will definitely see the last of his days in the next novel because of what he did. Harry has such rage built up inside of him, and I firmly believe that he will stop at nothing to do the worst possible damage to any who were involved in Dumbledore's death. This also makes me wonder why Dumbledore trusted Snape so just based on Snape telling him that he was sorry for passing the information on the prophecy back to Voldemort. I thought that Dumbledore would have better reasons to trust him than that.
- Hmm... let's see... in the next book, I think that Draco will definitely be gone, and Harry will be the one to dispose of him. Draco showed signs of weakness when it was supposively just him and Dumbledore there. (Mind Harry who was frozen under his Invisibility Cloak.) I really do not think that Draco will be able to carry on with what Lord Voldemort wishes him to do because of this weakness within him. It is just like Dumbledore said- If Draco was going to kill him like he said he was, he would have done it when he first encountered Dumbledore rather than listening to him.
- Unless Draco or one of the Death Eaters grabbed it, I believe that Snape's old potion book is still in the Room of Requirement and is awaiting for Harry to get it. It is just a theory of mine. I think that the book would be bloody useful to Harry because of all of the notes and spells that Snape jotted down in it. He just has to make sure that he can perform them quick enough where someone like Snape cannot produce a countercurse quick enough.
- Perhaps Moaning Myrtle might come back with a larger role in the seventh book. She is, afterall, the one who had been in the bathroom with Draco and had more of an idea of what was going on with him mentally than anyone else. You can't count Crabbe and Goyle because they are too thick to string two sentences together.
- Also, I believe that Harry will be using Kreacher more in the next book, like he did in this one. Maybe he will order him to serve as the Malfoy's servant...but relay any important information back to him. Who knows? This might happen and Kreacher might just not do so and betray his master's orders because if you rembember, in O.O.T.P., he went to visit Narcissa without permission from Sirius, who was his master at the time.
- I find it quite odd for Hermione not to even mention S.P.E.W. at least once in this book. She did, however, show a soft spot when it came to Kreacher. Maybe S.P.E.W. will resurface in the next book.
- I just can't imagine Fawkes leaving like he did. I think that he is going to reunite with Harry in the seventh book, and help him tremendously in his fight to defeat Lord Voldemort and all of his followers. This includes him helping Harry find the rest of the horcruxes.
- Who is R.A.B?? This person will for sure come up in the next one. They just has to. I see Harry finding out who it is, and forming an alliance with them against the Dark Lord.
Again... these are just some things that I found interesting, and I just felt like writing my thoughts about them down. I am not trying to be some Harry Potter expert by trying to make well-educated guesses as to what will happen in the seventh Harry Potter book. (Even though I have been absolutely obsessed with Harry Potter since like, the fourth or fifth grade) Afterall, I am just sixteen years old. It's just a discussion. What I think/stated in the above topics may change as i re-read the book over and over and come more familiar with it. Feel free to agree or disagree.
